Special Olympics Zimbabwe, provides year-round sports training and the opportunity for competition in Olympic-type sports for adults and children with intellectual disabilities.

People: Special Olympics Zimbabwe (S.O.Z) always needs willing volunteers to help us with administration and with coaching. It is estimated that about 3% of the world's population are intellectually disabled, which means over 300,000 people in Zimbabwe are eligible for our programmes. Having only touched on 2000 lives more outreach to rural areas is essential.
Facilities: S.O.Z is always looking to expand its programme, add more sports, to give our athletes more opportunities for growth and achievement. If your sports organization would like to get involved, we'd love to hear from you.
Funds: As a privately funded charity, SOZ always needs funds to pay for hosting of regional and national games, participation in International games and operational overheads, and is constantly exploring innovative ways of raising these funds. If you would like to contribute and associate your company with our work, or if you have ideas about how we can raise funds and would like to get involved that way, we would be very happy to welcome you on board.
Time: Even if you are unable to contribute in monetary terms, your time is a valuable asset to us: come and help out at games, help with coaching, with fund‑raising, with organization and administration and even just with your ideas.
