Special Olympics Zimbabwe, provides year-round sports training and the opportunity for competition in Olympic-type sports for adults and children with intellectual disabilities.

Due to the ongoing economic meltdown in Zimbabwe, sponsorship has been sparse and even with the generous contributions of a vehicle for raffle from Toyota Zimbabwe and an air ticket from Air Zimbabwe, inflation running at over 3000% and the devaluation of the dollar have made purchasing air tickets in foreign currency with these local funds impossible.
All on-site accommodation, food and transport are paid for. All we need are the tickets to get the team there! So far 10 of the 27 tickets have been covered.
Please "SPONSOR AN ATHLETE" to represent Zimbabwe and not only benefit the athlete themselves, but their families, communities and country!
We have provisionally booked seats for:
- Harare/Johannesburg return, Air Zimbabwe: £140 per person
- Johannesburg/Shanghai return, Cathay Pacific: £500 per person
- Total AIRFARE £640 per Athlete
